Boston power trio Heavy AmericA have been described as “every genre of rock”, a description Michael T. Seguin (lead vocals, guitar), Budd Lapham (bass, vocals) & Dan Fried (drums, vocals) hold dear. The band’s diverse blend of influences & years of experience have given way to a unique & broad rock sound. Placing them in a genre they can truly call their own & out of any convenient box.

   Formed in 2014 during a friends recording session, Heavy AmericA released their self-titled debut EP in 2015 followed by two singles, “Up For Air” & “Full Load Amps'' in 2016, catching the ears of rock journalists both at home & abroad. In 2017 the band released their first full length album, ‘Now’. The album’s single, “Pray For Me” would land the band a slot at the Matrix Music Festival & an Akademia Music Award for Best New Rock Song, achieving over one million views & streams worldwide. The single's success led to a nationwide college radio & press campaign with Tinderbox Music, licensing with six major cable networks, two appearances at SXSW & showcases at the Hard Rock Cafe & Middle East Nightclub in Boston. 

  The next two years saw the releases of “Easy Killer” & “Motor Honey (Peace)” with a string of shows across New England & a Limelight Magazine nomination for Best Rock Band, Boston 2019. Amid the 2020 covid pandemic Heavy AmericA released their single “If You Care”, a song about depression, isolation & not giving up hope. It was the band’s first single to break 50k plays on Spotify in under a month. Bouncing back from the restrictions of the previous year, Heavy AmericA released four singles in 2021, “Generation Lame”, “Tails”, “Crushed” & “Call You Tomorrow”. The singles videos generated over a half million views on youtube collectively, solidifying the bands online presence. By fall, the band caught the attention of music manager, Rick Smith & were opening for Saving Abel on the New England leg of their 2021 tour. 

  Heavy AmericA spent most of 2022 in the recording studio, preparing upcoming releases & filming the accompanying music videos. With only one release in April, “The Fall” & a handful of shows, the band still generated a lot of buzz with the single's controversial music video. 

   2023 ushered in “Vacations” & “Lucky”, two singles that highlighted the bands slight change in musical direction. Both singles would go on to gather over 113K views on youtube & 212K plays on Spotify, reaching 74 different countries. A well accepted change by Heavy AmericA fans world wide, setting the band up for the successful release of “Pretender” in 2024. 

  Heading into 2025, Heavy AmericA was off & running with their first single of the year, “Paper Hearts”. The single's striking music video & poignant message was a darling among their fans & the music media. 

Due to a shoulder injury suffered by bassist, Budd Lapham, the band would have to hold off on gigs until the fall. It was during this healing process Budd learned the piano & was joining the band for writing sessions. Come fall the band was back to gigging & released their second single of the year, “Chase the Sun”. The single was playlisted 124 times, bringing new fans & steady growth to their profile.
